DTC P0446-00: CV Solenoid Valve Control Circuit Problem

P0446-00: (PCM - VIN Y) DETECTION CONDITION AND POSSIBLE CAUSE

System malfunction location CV solenoid valve control circuit problem
Detection condition
  • The PCM monitors the CV solenoid valve circuit for an electrical failure. The test fails when the signal moves outside the minimum or maximum allowable calibrated parameters for a specified canister vent duty cycle by the PCM command.
Fail-safe
  • Not applicable
Possible cause
  1. Malfunction in wiring harness (including connector/terminal) between main relay and CV solenoid valve (see CIRCUIT INSPECTION .) (see CLEARING DTC .)
  2. Malfunction in wiring harness (including connector/terminal) between CV solenoid valve and PCM (see CIRCUIT INSPECTION .) (see CLEARING DTC .)
  3. CV solenoid valve malfunction (Refer to CANISTER VENT (CV) SOLENOID VALVE INSPECTION (VIN Y) in the service information.)
  4. PCM malfunction (Refer to applicable PCM REMOVAL/INSTALLATION (VIN Y) in the service information.)
Repeatability verification procedure
  1. Clear the DTC recorded in the memory. (see CLEARING DTC .)
  2. Start the engine and warm it up completely.
  3. Perform the KOER self test. (See DTC INSPECTION .)
