DTC P0335-00: CKP Sensor System: Circuit Malfunction

P0335-00: (PCM - VIN Y) DETECTION CONDITION AND POSSIBLE CAUSE

System malfunction location CKP sensor system: Circuit malfunction
Detection condition
  • No input signal from the crankshaft position sensor during specified rotation of the exhaust camshaft.
  • The crankshaft position sensor input signal pattern received during specified rotation of the crankshaft is incorrect.
Fail-safe
  • Stops fuel injection.
  • Stops ignition.
Possible cause
  1. Malfunction in wiring harness (including connector/terminal) between CKP sensor and PCM (see CIRCUIT INSPECTION .) (see CLEARING DTC .)
  2. CKP sensor malfunction (Refer to CRANKSHAFT POSITION (CKP) SENSOR INSPECTION (VIN Y) in the service information.)
  3. Dirt on CKP sensor detection area
  4. Damage on CKP sensor detection area
  5. CKP sensor pulse wheel malfunction
  6. PCM malfunction (Refer to applicable PCM REMOVAL/INSTALLATION (VIN Y) in the service information.)
Repeatability verification procedure
  1. Clear the DTC recorded in the memory. (see CLEARING DTC .)
  2. Perform the KOER self test. (See DTC INSPECTION .)
