DTC P0238-00: Boost Pressure Sensor Circuit High Input
WARNING: This page is about a different variant/trim than selected.
P0238-00: (PCM - VIN Y) DETECTION CONDITION AND POSSIBLE CAUSE
| System malfunction location |
Boost pressure sensor circuit high input |
| Detection condition |
- The PCM monitors the input voltage from the boost pressure sensor. If the input voltage at the PCM terminal 2E is higher than the standard, the PCM determines that the boost pressure sensor circuit has a malfunction.
|
| Fail-safe |
- Stop the supercharging pressure control. (fully open the wastegate valve)
|
| Possible cause |
- Boost pressure sensor malfunction (Refer to applicable BOOST PRESSURE SENSOR INSPECTION (VIN Y)INSPECTION
in the service information.)
- Malfunction in wiring harness (including connector/terminal) between PCM and boost pressure sensor (see CIRCUIT INSPECTION
.) (see CLEARING DTC
.)
- PCM malfunction (Refer to applicable PCM REMOVAL/INSTALLATION (VIN Y)
in the service information.)
|
| Repeatability verification procedure |
- Clear the DTC recorded in the memory. (see CLEARING DTC
.)
- Perform the KOEO or KOER self test. (See DTC INSPECTION
.)
