| Fail-safe |
|
| Possible cause |
- Boost pressure sensor connector or terminals malfunction (see CLEARING DTC
.)
- Boost pressure sensor malfunction (Refer to applicable BOOST PRESSURE SENSOR INSPECTION (VIN Y)
in the service information.)
- PCM connector or terminals malfunction (see CLEARING DTC
.)
- PCM malfunction (Refer to applicable PCM REMOVAL/INSTALLATION (VIN Y)
in the service information.)
|
| Repeatability verification procedure |
- Clear the DTC recorded in the memory. (see CLEARING DTC
.)
- Replicate the vehicle conditions at the time the DTC was detected using the following procedure.
- Start the engine. (Engine cold)
- Drive the vehicle on a flat road surface 10 times under the following conditions.
- Drive the vehicle in second gear at 25 km/h {16 mph} while maintaining the speed for 25 s.
- Stop the vehicle and idle the engine.
- Perform the DTC inspection for the PCM. (See DTC INSPECTION
.)
