DTC P0222-00: TP Sensor No. 2 System: Low Input

P0222-00: (PCM - VIN Y) DETECTION CONDITION AND POSSIBLE CAUSE

System malfunction location TP sensor No. 2 system: Low input
Detection condition
  • The TP sensor No. 2 voltage is lower than the standard.
Fail-safe
  • Restricts the upper limit of the engine speed.
Possible cause
  1. Malfunction in wiring harness (including connector/terminal) between TP sensor No. 2 and PCM (see CIRCUIT INSPECTION .) (see CLEARING DTC .)
  2. TP sensor No. 2 malfunction (Refer to THROTTLE POSITION (TP) SENSOR INSPECTION (VIN Y) in the service information.)
  3. PCM malfunction (Refer to applicable PCM REMOVAL/INSTALLATION (VIN Y) in the service information.)
Repeatability verification procedure
  1. Clear the DTC recorded in the memory. (see CLEARING DTC .)
  2. Perform the KOEO or KOER self test. (See DTC INSPECTION .)
