DTC P00E0-00: ECT Sensor No. 2 Circuit Low Input

P00E0-00: (PCM - VIN Y) DETECTION CONDITION AND POSSIBLE CAUSE

System malfunction location ECT sensor No. 2 circuit low input
Detection condition
  • The PCM monitors the ECT sensor No. 2 signal. If the PCM detects that the ECT sensor No. 2 voltage at the PCM terminal 2AD is standard or less, the PCM determines that the ECT sensor No. 2 circuit has a malfunction.
Fail-safe
  • Inhibits the boost control.
Possible cause
  1. ECT sensor No. 2 malfunction (Refer to applicable ENGINE COOLANT TEMPERATURE (ECT) SENSOR INSPECTION (VIN Y) in service information.)
  2. Malfunction in wiring harness (including connector/terminal) between PCM and ECT sensor No. 2 (see CIRCUIT INSPECTION .) (see CONNECTOR INSPECTION .)
  3. PCM malfunction (Refer to applicable PCM REMOVAL/INSTALLATION (VIN Y) in the service information.
Repeatability verification procedure
  1. Clear the DTC recorded in the memory. (see CLEARING DTC .)
  2. Perform the KOEO or KOER self test. (See DTC INSPECTION .)
