DTC P050B-00: Cold Start Ignition Timing Performance Problem

P050B-00: (PCM - VIN Y) DETECTION CONDITION AND POSSIBLE CAUSE

System malfunction location Cold start ignition timing performance problem
Detection condition
  • PCM internal RAM malfunction.
Fail-safe
  • Not applicable
Possible cause
  1. PCM malfunction (Refer to applicable PCM REMOVAL/INSTALLATION (VIN Y) in the service information.)
Repeatability verification procedure
  1. Clear the DTC recorded in the memory. (see CLEARING DTC .)
  2. Replicate the vehicle conditions at the time the DTC was detected using the following procedure.
    • Leave the vehicle for 7 hours or more.
    • Start the engine and leave it idling for 1 min.
  3. Perform the DTC inspection for the PCM. (See DTC INSPECTION .)
