DTC P0472-00: Exhaust Gas Pressure Sensor Circuit Low Input

P0472-00: (PCM - VIN Y) DETECTION CONDITION AND POSSIBLE CAUSE

System malfunction location Exhaust gas pressure sensor circuit low input
Detection condition
  • If the input voltage at the PCM terminal 1BA is standard or less, the PCM determines that the exhaust gas pressure sensor circuit has a malfunction.

Precondition 
  • Battery voltage: 8 V or more
  • 0.5 s have elapsed after the ignition was switched ON (engine off or on)
Fail-safe
  • Inhibits the EGR control.
Possible cause
  1. Malfunction in wiring harness (including connector/terminal) between PCM and exhaust gas pressure sensor (see CIRCUIT INSPECTION .) (see CONNECTOR INSPECTION .)
  2. Exhaust gas pressure sensor malfunction (Refer to EXHAUST GAS PRESSURE SENSOR INSPECTION (VIN Y) in the service information.)
  3. PCM malfunction (Refer to applicable PCM REMOVAL/INSTALLATION (VIN Y) in the service information.)
Repeatability verification procedure
  1. Clear the DTC recorded in the memory. (see CLEARING DTC .)
  2. Perform the KOEO or KOER self test. (See DTC INSPECTION .)
