DTC U2131-00: Can Communication System: Communication Error With Electrical Supply Unit (ESU)

U2131:00 (PCM - VIN Y) DETECTION CONDITION AND POSSIBLE CAUSE

System malfunction location	CAN communication system: Communication error with electrical supply unit (ESU)
Detection condition	A communication error between the PCM and the electrical supply unit (ESU) persists for a certain amount of time.
Fail-safe	Inhibits engine-stop by i-stop control.
Possible cause	Malfunction in CAN communication line between electrical supply unit (ESU) and PCM NOTE: Perform the malfunction diagnosis according to the troubleshooting procedure for the multiplex communication system. (See MALFUNCTION DIAGNOSIS FLOW [CONTROLLER AREA NETWORK (CAN)] .) Electrical supply unit (ESU) malfunction (Refer to applicable ELECTRICAL SUPPLY UNIT (ESU) INSPECTION in the service information.) PCM malfunction (Refer to applicable PCM REMOVAL/INSTALLATION (VIN Y) in the service information.)
Repeatability verification procedure	Clear the DTC recorded in the memory. (see CLEARING DTC .)
