U1032:00 (PCM - VIN Y) DETECTION CONDITION AND POSSIBLE CAUSE

System malfunction location Vehicle control module (VCM) malfunction
Detection condition Determination condition
  • When any of the following conditions is met.
    • CAN communication line malfunction between vehicle control module (VCM) and PCM.
    • Vehicle control module (VCM) (built in body control module (BCM)) internal malfunction
Preconditions
  • The following conditions continue for 1.5 s:
    • Battery voltage: above 9.45 V*
    • Switch the ignition ON (engine off or on)

*: Standard can be verified by displaying PIDs using M-MDS
Determination period
  • 2 s period
Drive cycle
  • 1
Self-test type
  • CMDTC self test, KOEO self test, KOER self test
Sensor/unit used
  • PCM
Fail-safe
  • Not applicable
Vehicle status when DTCs are output
  • Not applicable
Possible cause
  • DTCs are stored in the following modules. (CAN driver malfunction)
    • Vehicle control module (VCM)
    • PCM (other than U1032:00)
  • Malfunction in CAN communication line (including connector/terminal) between vehicle control module (VCM) and PCM.
  • Vehicle control module (VCM) malfunction (body control module (BCM)-integrated)
  • PCM malfunction
