DTC U0164-00: Can Communication: Communication Error To Dash-Electrical Supply Unit

U0164:00 (PCM - VIN Y) DETECTION CONDITION AND POSSIBLE CAUSE

System malfunction location	CAN communication: communication error to dash-electrical supply unit
Detection condition	A communication error between the PCM and the dash-electrical supply unit continues for a specified time.
Fail-safe	Not applicable
Possible cause	Malfunction in CAN communication line between dash-electrical supply unit and PCM NOTE: Perform the malfunction diagnosis according to the troubleshooting procedure for the multiplex communication system. (See MALFUNCTION DIAGNOSIS FLOW [CONTROLLER AREA NETWORK (CAN)] .) Dash-electrical supply unit malfunction (Refer to applicable ELECTRICAL SUPPLY UNIT (ESU) INSPECTION in the service information.) PCM malfunction (Refer to applicable PCM REMOVAL/INSTALLATION (VIN Y) in the service information.)
Repeatability verification procedure	Clear the DTC recorded in the memory. (see CLEARING DTC .) Perform the KOEO or KOER self test. (See DTC INSPECTION .)
