DTC U0156-00: Can Communication System: Communication Error To Connectivity Master Unit (CMU)

U0156:00 (PCM - VIN Y) DETECTION CONDITION AND POSSIBLE CAUSE

System malfunction location	CAN communication system: communication error to connectivity master unit (CMU)
Detection condition	A communication error between the PCM and the connectivity master unit (CMU) continues for a predetermined period of time.
Fail-safe	Not applicable
Possible cause	Malfunction in CAN communication line between PCM and connectivity master unit (CMU) NOTE: Perform the malfunction diagnosis according to the troubleshooting procedure for the multiplex communication system. (See MALFUNCTION DIAGNOSIS FLOW [CONTROLLER AREA NETWORK (CAN)] .) Connectivity master unit (CMU) malfunction (Refer to applicable CONNECTIVITY MASTER UNIT (CMU) INSPECTION in the service information.) PCM malfunction (Refer to applicable PCM REMOVAL/INSTALLATION (VIN Y) in the service information.)
Repeatability verification procedure	Clear the DTC recorded in the memory. (see CLEARING DTC .) Perform the KOEO or KOER self test. (See DTC INSPECTION .)
