DTC U0140-00: Can Communication: Communication Error To Body Control Module (BCM)

U0140:00 (PCM - VIN Y) DETECTION CONDITION AND POSSIBLE CAUSE

System malfunction location	CAN communication: Communication error to body control module (BCM)
Detection condition	A communication error between the PCM and the body control module (BCM) continues for the specified period of time.
Fail-safe	Not applicable
Possible cause	Malfunction in CAN communication line between body control module (BCM) and PCM NOTE: Perform the malfunction diagnosis according to the troubleshooting procedure for the multiplex communication system. (See MALFUNCTION DIAGNOSIS FLOW [CONTROLLER AREA NETWORK (CAN)] .) Body control module (BCM) malfunction (Refer to applicable BODY CONTROL MODULE (BCM) REMOVAL/INSTALLATION in the service information.) PCM malfunction (Refer to applicable PCM REMOVAL/INSTALLATION (VIN Y) in the service information.)
Repeatability verification procedure	Clear the DTC recorded in the memory. (see CLEARING DTC .) Perform the KOEO or KOER self test. (See DTC INSPECTION .)
