DTC U0121-00: Can Communication System: Communication Error To DSC HU/Cm

U0121:00 (PCM - VIN Y) DETECTION CONDITION AND POSSIBLE CAUSE

System malfunction location	CAN communication system: communication error to DSC HU/CM
Detection condition	A communication error between the PCM and the DSC HU/CM persists for a specified time.
Fail-safe	Inhibits the DSC control.
Possible cause	Malfunction in CAN communication line between DSC HU/CM and PCM NOTE: Perform the malfunction diagnosis according to the troubleshooting procedure for the multiplex communication system. (See MALFUNCTION DIAGNOSIS FLOW [CONTROLLER AREA NETWORK (CAN)] .) DSC HU/CM malfunction (Refer to applicable DSC HU/CM INSPECTION in the service information.) PCM malfunction (Refer to applicable PCM REMOVAL/INSTALLATION (VIN Y) in the service information.)
Repeatability verification procedure	Clear the DTC recorded in the memory. (see CLEARING DTC .) Perform the KOEO or KOER self test. (See DTC INSPECTION .)
