DTC P2610-00: Malfunction In Body Control Module (BCM)

P2610:00 (PCM - VIN Y) DETECTION CONDITION AND POSSIBLE CAUSE

| Detection condition |
- Any one of the following conditions is met:
- When the engine is stopped, the specified period of time has elapsed while the amount of time the engine has been stopped does not match between the 2 processors in the instrument cluster.
- The specified period of time has elapsed while the instrument cluster cannot receive an engine speed signal from the PCM.
- The specified period of time has elapsed while the instrument cluster cannot count the amount of time the engine has been stopped.
Precondition
- Switch the ignition ON (engine on)
- The following DTCs are not detected:

- The fast idle up correction for the drive-by-wire control is inhibited.

- Body control module (BCM) malfunction (Refer to applicable BODY CONTROL MODULE (BCM) REMOVAL/INSTALLATION
in the service information.)
- PCM malfunction (Refer to applicable PCM REMOVAL/INSTALLATION (VIN Y)
in the service information.)

NOTE:
- DTC P2610:00 can be cleared by performing the engine start and stop procedure.
- Start the engine.
- Stop the engine.
- Clear the DTC recorded in the memory. (see CLEARING DTC
.)
- Perform the KOER self test. (See DTC INSPECTION
.)
