DTC P2603-00: Electric Water Pump Control Circuit High Input

P2603:00 (PCM - VIN Y) DETECTION CONDITION AND POSSIBLE CAUSE

| Detection condition |
- When the PCM controls the electric water pump, the voltage input to the PCM is too high.

| Fail-safe |
- Inhibits the boost control.
|
| Possible cause |
- Malfunction in wiring harness (including connector/terminal) between PCM and electric water pump (see CIRCUIT INSPECTION

- Electric water pump malfunction (Refer to ELECTRIC WATER PUMP INSPECTION

- PCM malfunction (Refer to applicable PCM REMOVAL/INSTALLATION (VIN Y)

| Repeatability verification procedure |
- Clear the DTC recorded in the memory. (see CLEARING DTC
.)
- Replicate the vehicle conditions at the time the DTC was detected using the following procedure.
WARNING:
- While performing this step, always operate the vehicle in a safe and lawful manner.
- When the M-MDS is used to observe monitor system status while driving, be sure to have another technician with you, or record the data in the M-MDS using the PID/DATA MONITOR AND RECORD capturing function and inspect later.
- Start the engine and run the engine under the freeze frame data/snapshot data condition.
- Perform the DTC inspection for the PCM. (See DTC INSPECTION
