DTC P2564-00: WASTEGATE Valve Position Sensor Circuit Low Input

P2564:00 (PCM - VIN Y) DETECTION CONDITION AND POSSIBLE CAUSE

System malfunction location Wastegate valve position sensor circuit low input
Detection condition
  • If the input voltage at the PCM terminal 1AV is standard or less, the PCM determines that the wastegate valve position sensor circuit is low.

Precondition 
  • Battery voltage: 8 V or more
  • 0.5 s have elapsed after the ignition was switched ON (engine off or on)
Fail-safe
  • Stop the supercharging pressure control. (fully open the wastegate valve)
Possible cause
  1. Malfunction in wiring harness (including connector/terminal) between PCM and wastegate valve position sensor (see CIRCUIT INSPECTION .) (see CONNECTOR INSPECTION .)
  2. Wastegate valve position sensor malfunction (Refer to WASTEGATE VALVE POSITION SENSOR INSPECTION in the service information.)
  3. PCM malfunction (Refer to applicable PCM REMOVAL/INSTALLATION (VIN Y) in the service information.)
Repeatability verification procedure
  1. Clear the DTC recorded in the memory. (see CLEARING DTC .)
  2. Perform the KOEO or KOER self test. (See DTC INSPECTION .)
