DTC P250C-00: Engine Oil Level Sensor System: Circuit Malfunction

P250C:00 (PCM - VIN Y) DETECTION CONDITION AND POSSIBLE CAUSE

System malfunction location Engine oil level sensor system: Circuit malfunction
Detection condition
  • Communication error between the engine oil level sensor and PCM continues for a specified period of time.

Precondition 
  • When all of the following conditions are met:
    • Battery voltage: 10-16 V
    • Communication error between engine oil level sensor and PCM DTC U1100:00 not detected.
Fail-safe
  • Not applicable
Possible cause
  1. Malfunction in wiring harness (including connector/terminal) between sub relay and engine oil level sensor (see CIRCUIT INSPECTION .) (see CONNECTOR INSPECTION .)
  2. Malfunction in wiring harness (including connector/terminal) between engine oil level sensor and PCM (see CIRCUIT INSPECTION .) (see CONNECTOR INSPECTION .)
  3. Engine oil level sensor malfunction (Refer to applicable ENGINE OIL LEVEL SENSOR REMOVAL/INSTALLATION (VIN Y) in the service information.)
  4. PCM malfunction (Refer to applicable PCM REMOVAL/INSTALLATION (VIN Y) in the service information.)
Repeatability verification procedure
  1. Clear the DTC recorded in the memory. (see CLEARING DTC .)
  2. Start the engine.
  3. Perform the DTC inspection for the PCM. (See DTC INSPECTION .)
