DTC P0072-00: Ambient Temperature Sensor System: Low Input

P0072:00 (PCM - VIN Y) DETECTION CONDITION AND POSSIBLE CAUSE

System malfunction location	Ambient temperature sensor system: Low input
Detection condition	The ambient temperature sensor voltage is less than the standard.
Fail-safe	Not applicable
Possible cause	Malfunction in wiring harness (including connector/terminal) between ambient temperature sensor and PCM (see CIRCUIT INSPECTION .) (see CONNECTOR INSPECTION .) Ambient temperature sensor malfunction (Refer to applicable AMBIENT TEMPERATURE SENSOR INSPECTION [FULL-AUTO AIR CONDITIONER] or AMBIENT TEMPERATURE SENSOR INSPECTION [MANUAL AIR CONDITIONER] in the service information.) PCM malfunction (Refer to applicable PCM REMOVAL/INSTALLATION (VIN Y) in the service information.)
Repeatability verification procedure	Clear the DTC recorded in the memory. (see CLEARING DTC .) Perform the KOEO or KOER self test. (See DTC INSPECTION .)
