DTC P0034-00: Air Bypass Valve Control Circuit Low Input

P0034:00 (PCM - VIN Y) DETECTION CONDITION AND POSSIBLE CAUSE

System malfunction location Air bypass valve control circuit low input
Detection condition
  • The air bypass valve control voltage at the PCM terminal 1AX is standard or less relative to the
  • PCM control condition.
Fail-safe
  • Stop the supercharging pressure control. (fully open the wastegate valve)
Possible cause
  1. Malfunction in wiring harness (including connector/terminal) between main relay and air bypass valve (see CIRCUIT INSPECTION .) (see CONNECTOR INSPECTION .)
  2. Malfunction in wiring harness (including connector/terminal) between air bypass valve and PCM (see CIRCUIT INSPECTION .) (see CONNECTOR INSPECTION .)
  3. Air bypass valve malfunction (Refer to AIR BYPASS VALVE INSPECTION (VIN Y) in the service information.)
  4. PCM malfunction (Refer to applicable PCM REMOVAL/INSTALLATION (VIN Y) in the service information.)
Repeatability verification procedure
  1. Clear the DTC recorded in the memory. (see CLEARING DTC .)
  2. Perform the KOER self test. (See DTC INSPECTION .)
