Fuel Injector Operation Inspection

WARNING:
- When inspecting or repairing the fuel system, always proceed with the diagnostics while verifying the [warnings] in the procedure. Not heeding the warnings could lead to an accident which could cause serious injury or death, and damage to equipment.
- Connect the M-MDS to the DLC-2.
- Start the engine and warm it up.
- Perform the KOER self-test and verify that none of the following DTCs is detected. (Refer to DTC INSPECTION

- P0201:00
- P0202:00
- P0203:00
- P0204:00
- If any of the following DTCs can be verified, perform the applicable DTC inspection. (Refer to DTC TABLE [PCM (VIN Y)]

- P0201:00
- P0202:00
- P0203:00
- P0204:00
- Monitor the engine speed (PCM PID: ENG_RPM) signal using the PID/data monitor function.
- Using the PCM simulation function [INJ], verify that the PCM PID [ENG_RPM] decreases when operation of each injector is stopped. (Refer to SIMULATION INSPECTION
.)
- If there is no decrease, perform the following procedure.
- Inspect the resistance for the fuel injectors. (See RESISTANCE INSPECTION .)
- If there is no malfunction in the fuel injectors, inspect the connection condition of the following connectors for the applicable cylinders.
- PCM
- Fuel injector
- If the connection condition of the connectors is normal, replace the applicable fuel injectors. (See FUEL INJECTOR REMOVAL/INSTALLATION (VIN Y) .)
- If there is no decrease, perform the following procedure.
