Water Pump Component Removal Note

Remove the bolt shown in the figure.

CAUTION:
- When removing the water pump component, be careful not to apply excessive force to the oil pipe protector because it may deform the oil pipe protector.
Remove the wiring harness clip shown in the figure.

Remove the engine oil temperature sensor/engine oil pressure sensor. (See ENGINE OIL TEMPERATURE SENSOR/ENGINE OIL PRESSURE SENSOR REMOVAL/INSTALLATION (VIN Y) .)
Place a container under the engine to collect the engine coolant remaining in the engine.
Slightly loosen the three water pump component bolts shown in the figure and collect the draining engine coolant into a container.
CAUTION:
- Do not remove the water pump component completely at this time because the engine coolant remaining in the engine will drain out.
After the engine coolant stops draining, remove the water pump component as shown in the figure.
