DTC inspection
- Using the M-MDS, perform a DTC inspection and verify if any driver monitoring camera unit-related DTCs are detected. (Refer to DTC INSPECTION .)

DTC is detected
- If DTC U3000:42 or U3000:49 is detected, replace the driver monitoring camera unit. (See DRIVER MONITORING CAMERA REMOVAL/INSTALLATION .)
- If the detected DTC is other than U3000:42 or U3000:49, inspect for possible causes of the detected DTC starting from the top. (Refer to DTC TABLE [DMC]

- If the malfunction is not resolved, replace the driver monitoring camera unit. (See DRIVER MONITORING CAMERA REMOVAL/INSTALLATION .)
No DTC is detected
- Perform a visual inspection. (See VISUAL INSPECTION .)
