Fuel Gauge Sender Unit (Sub): Notes
- Complete the "BEFORE SERVICE PRECAUTION".

- If the fuel gauge level indicates 8/16 or more, refer to the [FUEL DRAINING PROCEDURE] and drain the fuel. (See FUEL DRAINING PROCEDURE [SKYACTIV-G (WITH CYLINDER DEACTIVATION)] .) (See FUEL DRAINING PROCEDURE [SKYACTIV-G 2.5T] .)
- Disconnect the negative battery terminal. (See NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL DISCONNECTION/CONNECTION .)
- Remove the rear seat cushion. (See REAR SEAT CUSHION REMOVAL/INSTALLATION .)
- Remove the screws.
- Remove the service hole cover.
- Disconnect the connector.

- Install the SST shown in the figure below.
- Remove the set plate component using the SST. (See SET PLATE COMPONENT INSTALLATION NOTE .)
- Remove the fuel gauge sender unit and packing.
- Install in the reverse order of removal.
