Troubleshooting Diagnostic Procedure

U2401-00: (SAS) TROUBLESHOOTING DIAGNOSTIC PROCEDURE

Step Inspection Results Action
1 PURPOSE: VERIFY IF ANY OF MODULES STORES DTC U2400-00: 
  • Switch the ignition/main power OFF.
  • Switch the ignition ON (engine off or on)/switch the main power ON (READY off or on).
  • Perform a quick check. (See DTC INSPECTION .)
  • Is DTC U2400-00: displayed in any of the modules?
Yes Repair or replace the malfunctioning location according to the applicable DTC troubleshooting.

(See U2400-00: [VCM] .)
(See U2400-00: [EPS] .)
(See U2400-00: [DSC] .)
(See U2400-00: [SAS] .)
No Go to the next step.
2 PURPOSE: INSPECT SAS CONTROL MODULE FOR INTERNAL MALFUNCTION 
  • Perform the DTC inspection for the SAS control module.

    (See DTC INSPECTION .)

  • Is a DTC related to an internal malfunction displayed?
Yes Repair or replace the malfunctioning location according to the applicable DTC troubleshooting.
(See DTC TABLE [DSC] .)
No Go to the next step.
3 PURPOSE: VERIFY IF AFTER-MARKET ELECTRICAL DEVICE IS INSTALLED 
  • Verify the after-market electrical device installation condition.
  • Is an after-market electrical device installed?
Yes Remove the after-market electrical device and perform repair completion verification 1.
No Go to the next step.
4 PURPOSE: IDENTIFY MODULE TRANSMITTING MALFUNCTION  Yes Replace the module which DTC U2401-00: is no longer displayed when removed and perform repair completion verification 1.

(Refer to SAS CONTROL MODULE REMOVAL/INSTALLATION [TWO-STEP DEPLOYMENT CONTROL SYSTEM - US/CANADA/ISRAEL SPEC.] in service information.)
(Refer to [ELECTRONICALLY CONTROLLED BRAKE UNIT REMOVAL/INSTALLATION] in service information.)
(Refer to DSC HU/CM REMOVAL/INSTALLATION in service information.)
No Replace the body control module (BCM) and perform repair completion verification 1.
(Refer to BODY CONTROL MODULE (BCM) REMOVAL/INSTALLATION in service information.)
Repair completion verification 1 PURPOSE: VERIFY IF VEHICLE IS REPAIRED 
  • Install/connect the part removed/disconnected during the troubleshooting procedure.
  • Switch the ignition/main power OFF.
  • Switch the ignition ON (engine off or on)/switch the main power ON (READY off or on).
  • Clear the DTC recorded in the memory. (See CLEARING DTC .)
  • Perform the DTC inspection for the SAS control module.

  • Is the same DTC displayed?
Yes Refer to the CAN (controller area network) malfunction diagnosis flow to inspect for a CAN communication error.

If the CAN communication is normal, perform the diagnosis from Step 1 again.
No Go to the next step.
Repair completion verification 2 PURPOSE: VERIFY IF OTHER DTCs ARE DISPLAYED 
  • Perform the DTC inspection. (See DTC INSPECTION .)
  • Are other DTCs displayed?
Yes Repair or replace the malfunctioning location according to the applicable DTC troubleshooting.
No DTC troubleshooting completed.
