Troubleshooting Diagnostic Procedure

U2400-00: (SAS) TROUBLESHOOTING DIAGNOSTIC PROCEDURE

Step Inspection Results Action
1 PURPOSE: VERIFY IF AFTERMARKET ELECTRICAL DEVICE IS INSTALLED 
  • Verify the after-market electrical device installation condition.
  • Is an after-market electrical device installed?
Yes Remove the after-market electrical device and perform repair completion verification 1.
No Go to the next step.
2 PURPOSE: VERIFY IF PREVIOUS MODULE REPLACEMENT WORK WAS UNSUCCESSFUL 
  • Verify the contents of the previous module replacement work.
    NOTE:
    • If a module other than the one for the vehicle is installed, this diagnostic procedure cannot resolve the problem.
  • Is the correct module installed?
Yes Go to the next step.
No Install the correct module and perform repair completion verification 1.
3 PURPOSE: INSPECT BODY CONTROL MODULE (BCM) FOR MALFUNCTION 
  • Perform a quick check. (See DTC INSPECTION .)
  • Is DTC U2400-00: displayed for several other modules?
Yes Replace the body control module (BCM) and perform repair completion verification 1.
(Refer to BODY CONTROL MODULE (BCM) REMOVAL/INSTALLATION in service information.)
No Go to the next step.
Repair completion verification 1 PURPOSE: VERIFY IF VEHICLE IS REPAIRED 
  • Install/connect the part removed/disconnected during the troubleshooting procedure.
  • Switch the ignition/main power OFF.
  • Switch the ignition ON (engine off or on)/switch the main power ON (READY off or on).
  • Clear the DTC recorded in the memory.

    (See CLEARING DTC .)

  • Perform the DTC inspection for the SAS control module. (See DTC INSPECTION .)
  • Is the same DTC displayed?
Yes Refer to the CAN (controller area network) malfunction diagnosis flow to inspect for a CAN communication error.
(See MALFUNCTION DIAGNOSIS FLOW [CONTROLLER AREA NETWORK (CAN)] .)
If the CAN communication is normal, perform the diagnosis from Step 1 again.
No Go to the next step.
Repair completion verification 2 PURPOSE: VERIFY IF OTHER DTCs ARE DISPLAYED 
  • Perform the DTC inspection. (See DTC INSPECTION .)
  • Are other DTCs displayed?
Yes Repair or replace the malfunctioning location according to the applicable DTC troubleshooting.
No DTC troubleshooting completed.
