Troubleshooting Diagnostic Procedure

U2100-00: (SAS) TROUBLESHOOTING DIAGNOSTIC PROCEDURE

Step	Inspection	Results	Action
1	PURPOSE: VERIFY SAS CONTROL MODULE DTCs Perform the DTC inspection for the SAS control module. (See DTC INSPECTION .) Are any DTCs other than this DTC displayed?	Yes	Repair or replace the malfunctioning location according to the applicable DTC troubleshooting. (See DTC TABLE [SAS] .)
1		No	Go to the next step.
2	PURPOSE: PERFORM SAS CONTROL MODULE CONFIGURATION Perform the configuration for the SAS control module using the M-MDS. (See CONFIGURATION .) Clear the DTC recorded in the memory. (See CLEARING DTC .) Perform the DTC inspection for the SAS control module. (See DTC INSPECTION .) Is the same DTC displayed?	Yes	Go to the next step.
2		No	If any other DTCs are displayed Repair or replace the malfunctioning location according to the applicable DTC troubleshooting. (See DTC TABLE [SAS] .) If any other DTCs are not displayed Perform repair completion verification 2.
Repair completion verification 1	PURPOSE: VERIFY IF VEHICLE IS REPAIRED Install/connect the part removed/disconnected during the troubleshooting procedure. Clear the DTC recorded in the memory. (See CLEARING DTC .) Perform the DTC inspection for the SAS control module. (See DTC INSPECTION .) Is the same DTC displayed?	Yes	Refer to the CAN (controller area network) malfunction diagnosis flow to inspect for a CAN communication error. (See MALFUNCTION DIAGNOSIS FLOW [CONTROLLER AREA NETWORK (CAN)] .) If the CAN communication is normal, perform the diagnosis from Step 1 again. If the malfunction is not resolved, replace the SAS control module, then go to the next step. (Refer to SAS CONTROL MODULE REMOVAL/INSTALLATION [TWO-STEP DEPLOYMENT CONTROL SYSTEM - US/CANADA/ISRAEL SPEC.] in service information.)
Repair completion verification 1		No	Go to the next step.
Repair completion verification 2	PURPOSE: VERIFY IF OTHER DTCs ARE DISPLAYED Perform the DTC inspection. (See DTC INSPECTION .) Are other DTCs displayed?	Yes	Repair or replace the malfunctioning location according to the applicable DTC troubleshooting.
Repair completion verification 2		No	DTC troubleshooting completed.
