DTC (SAS) DIAGNOSTIC PROCEDURE

Step	Inspection	Results	Action
1	INSPECT FOR ANY DTC DISPLAYED SIMULTANEOUSLY Is any DTC not within [] in the DTC table displayed simultaneously?	Yes	Repair or replace the malfunctioning location according to the applicable DTC troubleshooting. (See DTC Table .)
1		No	Go to the next step.
2	VERIFY IF MALFUNCTION CAUSED BY TEMPORARY MALFUNCTION IN SAS CONTROL MODULE Perform the on-demand self test. (See DTC INSPECTION .) Is the same DTC displayed?	Yes	Go to the next step.
2		No	If DTC is displayed Repair or replace the malfunctioning location according to the applicable DTC troubleshooting. (See DTC Table .) If DTC is not displayed DTC troubleshooting completed.
3	PERFORM SAS CONTROL MODULE CONFIGURATION Perform the configuration for the SAS control module using the M-MDS. (See CONFIGURATION .) Clear the DTC recorded in the memory. (See CLEARING DTC .) Perform the DTC inspection for the SAS control module. (See DTC INSPECTION .) Is the same DTC displayed?	Yes	Perform repair completion verification 1.
3		No	If DTC is displayed Repair or replace the malfunctioning location according to the applicable DTC troubleshooting. (See DTC Table .) If DTC is not displayed DTC troubleshooting completed.
Repair completion verification 1	PERFORM DTC INSPECTION FOR SAS CONTROL MODULE Clear the DTC recorded in the memory. (See CLEARING DTC .) Perform the DTC inspection for the SAS control module. (See DTC INSPECTION .) Is the same DTC displayed?	Yes	Repeat the diagnosis from Step 2. If the malfunction is not resolved, replace the SAS control module. (Refer to SAS CONTROL MODULE REMOVAL/INSTALLATION [TWO-STEP DEPLOYMENT CONTROL SYSTEM - US/CANADA/ISRAEL SPEC.] in service information.)
Repair completion verification 1		No	If DTC is displayed Repair or replace the malfunctioning location according to the applicable DTC troubleshooting. (See DTC Table .) If DTC is not displayed DTC troubleshooting completed.
