Troubleshooting Diagnostic Procedure

B00D2-29: (SAS) TROUBLESHOOTING DIAGNOSTIC PROCEDURE

Step Inspection Results Action
1 PURPOSE: VERIFY SAS CONTROL MODULE DTCs 
  • Clear the DTC recorded in the memory. (See CLEARING DTC .)
  • Perform the DTC inspection for the SAS control module. (See DTC INSPECTION .)
  • Is any of the following DTCs displayed?
    • U0001-88:
    • U0155-00:
    • U0156-00:
 Yes Repair or replace the malfunctioning location according to the applicable DTC troubleshooting.

(See U0155-00: [SAS] .)
(See U0156-00: [SAS] .)
No Go to the next step.
2 PURPOSE: VERIFY IF INSTRUMENT CLUSTER IS CORRECTLY INSTALLED 
 Yes Go to the next step.
No Correctly install the instrument cluster and perform repair completion verification 1.
(Refer to INSTRUMENT CLUSTER REMOVAL/INSTALLATION in service information.)
3 PURPOSE: INSPECT INSTRUMENT CLUSTER 
  • Switch the ignition ON (engine off)/switch the main power ON (READY off).
  • Is the air bag/seat belt pre-tensioner system warning light turned on?
 Yes Go to the next step.
No Replace the instrument cluster and perform repair completion verification 1.
(Refer to INSTRUMENT CLUSTER REMOVAL/INSTALLATION in service information.)
Repair completion verification 1 PURPOSE: VERIFY IF VEHICLE IS REPAIRED 
  • Install/connect the part removed/disconnected during the troubleshooting procedure.
  • Clear the DTC recorded in the memory. (See CLEARING DTC .)
  • Perform the DTC inspection for the SAS control module. (See DTC INSPECTION .)
  • Is the same DTC displayed?
 Yes Refer to the CAN (controller area network) malfunction diagnosis flow to inspect for a CAN communication error.
(See MALFUNCTION DIAGNOSIS FLOW [CONTROLLER AREA NETWORK (CAN)] .)
If the CAN communication is normal, perform the diagnosis from Step 1 again.
No Go to the next step.
Repair completion verification 2 PURPOSE: VERIFY IF OTHER DTCs ARE DISPLAYED 
  • Perform the DTC INSPECTION. (See DTC INSPECTION .)
  • Are other DTCs displayed?
 Yes Repair or replace the malfunctioning location according to the applicable DTC troubleshooting.
No DTC troubleshooting completed.
