Refrigerant Leakage Inspection

Using a gas leak detector, inspect according to the following table.

System piping	Connection area between system piping and expansion valve. Connection area between system piping and condenser. Hose (high pressure)	Connection area between hose (high pressure) and compressor. Connection area between hose (high pressure) and condenser. 	Charging valve and cap.	Replace the charging valve or cap.

	Charging valve and cap.	Replace the charging valve or cap.
Evaporator	Inspect the area around the ventilator grille using the following procedure. Operate the blower fan for approx.1 min. Turn off the blower fan. Inspect the area around the driver/passenger-side ventilator grille for 10 s or more.	Replace the evaporator. (See A/C UNIT REMOVAL/INSTALLATION .)
