Condenser Inspection [SKYACTIV-G 2.0, SKYACTIV-G 2.5]

Disconnect the negative battery terminal. (See NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL DISCONNECTION/CONNECTION .)
Discharge the refrigerant. (See REFRIGERANT RECOVERY .) (See REFRIGERANT CHARGING .)
Remove the front under cover No. 1. (See FRONT UNDER COVER No. 1 REMOVAL/INSTALLATION .)
Drain the engine coolant. (See ENGINE COOLANT REPLACEMENT [SKYACTIV-G (WITH CYLINDER DEACTIVATION)] .)
Remove the following parts:
1. Plug hole plate (See PLUG HOLE PLATE REMOVAL/INSTALLATION [SKYACTIV-G (WITH CYLINDER DEACTIVATION)] .)
2. Air cleaner, air hose and fresh air duct component (See INTAKE-AIR SYSTEM REMOVAL/INSTALLATION [SKYACTIV-G (WITH CYLINDER DEACTIVATION)] .)
3. Cooling fan component (See COOLING FAN MOTOR REMOVAL/INSTALLATION [SKYACTIV-G (WITH CYLINDER DEACTIVATION)] .)
4. Radiator (See RADIATOR REMOVAL/INSTALLATION [SKYACTIV-G (WITH CYLINDER DEACTIVATION)] .)
Remove the condenser. (See CONDENSER REMOVAL/INSTALLATION [SKYACTIV-G 2.0, SKYACTIV-G 2.5] .)
Inspect the condenser for cracks, damage, and oil leakage.
- If there is any malfunction, replace the condenser. (See CONDENSER REMOVAL/INSTALLATION [SKYACTIV-G 2.0, SKYACTIV-G 2.5] .)
Visually inspect for bent fins for restriction or foreign matter.
- If any fins are restricted, remove the foreign matter.
Visually inspect for bent fins.
- If any fins are bent, use the end of a flathead screwdriver to straighten fins.
