ELECTRIC PARKING BRAKE AUTOMATIC RELEASE FUNCTION DURING ACCELERATION MALFUNCTIONS DESCRIPTION AND POSSIBLE CAUSE
| Description |
- The electric parking brake automatic release function at start malfunctions no matter any of the following conditions.
- Door open/closed condition: The front door (driver's side) is open.
- Seat belt fastened: The driver's side seat belt is unfastened.
- Selector lever position: The selector lever is in the P or N position. (AT/ATX)
- Shift lever position: The shift lever is in the neutral position. (MT/MTX)
- Accelerator pedal depression condition: The accelerator pedal is not depressed.

- Electronically controlled brake unit/DSC HU/CM malfunction
- Front door latch switch (driver's side) malfunction
- Malfunction in wiring harness (including connector/terminal) between front door latch switch (driver's side) and body ground
- Malfunction in wiring harness (including connector/terminal) between door-electrical supply unit (driver's side) and front door latch switch (driver's side)
- Door-electrical supply unit (driver's side) malfunction
- Driver's side buckle switch malfunction
- Malfunction in wiring harness (including connector/terminal) between driver's side buckle switch and body ground
- Malfunction in wiring harness (including connector/terminal) between dash-electrical supply unit and driver's side buckle switch
- Dash-electrical supply unit malfunction
