Troubleshooting Diagnostic Procedure

B1A30-2B: (CMU) TROUBLESHOOTING DIAGNOSTIC PROCEDURE

Step Inspection Results Action
1 PURPOSE: VERIFY COMMANDER SWITCH CONDITION 
  • Visually inspect each switch of the commander switch.
  • Are there any switches in the commander switch that are stuck in a pressed condition?
Yes Release the stuck switch.
  • If foreign matter is caught, remove it if possible.
  • The stuck switch and adjacent switch are operated any number of times.

If the stuck switch is released: 
  • Go to the next step.

If the stuck switch is not released: 
No Go to the next step.
2 PURPOSE: VERIFY COMMANDER SWITCH MALFUNCTION 
  • Switch the ignition ON (engine off)/main power ON (READY off).
  • Verify the commander switch operation using the [Touch Pad/Commander Inspection] using the diagnostic assist function. (See DIAGNOSTIC ASSIST FUNCTION [CMU] .)
  • Is the commander switch operating normally?
Yes Go to the next step.
No Perform the symptom troubleshooting procedure [OPERATION USING COMMANDER SWITCH NOT POSSIBLE] of the connectivity master unit (CMU).

Repair completion verification 1 PURPOSE: VERIFY THAT VEHICLE IS REPAIRED 
  • Install/connect the part removed/disconnected during the troubleshooting procedure.
  • Clear the DTC recorded in the memory. (See CLEARING DTC .)
  • Replicate the vehicle conditions at the time the DTC was detected using the following procedure.
  • Perform the DTC inspection for the connectivity master unit (CMU). (See DTC INSPECTION .)
  • Is the same Pending DTC present?
Yes Refer to the controller area network (CAN) malfunction diagnosis flow to inspect for a CAN communication error.

If the CAN communication is normal, perform the diagnosis from Step 1.
No Go to the next step.
Repair completion verification 2 PURPOSE: VERIFY IF OTHER DTCs DISPLAYED 
  • Perform the DTC inspection. (See DTC INSPECTION .)
  • Are any other DTCs displayed?
Yes Repair or replace the malfunctioning location according to the applicable DTC troubleshooting.
No DTC troubleshooting completed.
