DTC C1128:2A (ELECTRIC PARKING BRAKE CONTROL MODULE) DETECTION CONDITION AND POSSIBLE CAUSE

| Detection condition |
- Electric parking brake control module detects the operation or release of the electric parking brake switch for a continuous 30 s while the vehicle is stopped.

| Fail-safe |
- The electric parking brake control module operates the electric parking brake under any of the following conditions while the vehicle is stopped.
- Ignition is switched ON (engine off or on) and selector lever is in P or N position and driver's door is open
- Ignition is switched off and brake pedal is depressed
- Ignition is switched off and driver's door is open

| Possible cause |
CAUTION:
- When the electric parking brake switch is continuously pulled up/pressed down for a long period, DTCs may be detected. Therefore, always verify that DTCs being detected are due to how the customer has operated the switch.
- Electric parking brake switch malfunction
- Electric parking brake switch is mechanically stuck
- Electric parking brake control module malfunction
