| 1 | ASK CUSTOMER IF ELECTRIC PARKING BRAKE SWITCH HAS BEEN PULLED UP/PRESSED DOWN CONTINUOUSLY FOR 30 S OR MORE

Yes | System is normal. (Explain to the customer that it is not necessary to continuously pull up/press down the electric parking brake switch to operate/release the electric parking brake system.) |

| 2 | INSPECT ELECTRIC PARKING BRAKE SWITCH

Yes | Go to the next step. |
| No | Interference with surrounding parts:
Foreign matter has penetrated movable parts:

| 3 | VERIFY THAT REPAIRS HAVE BEEN COMPLETED

Yes | Repeat the inspection from Step 1.

| 4 | VERIFY IF OTHER DTCs DISPLAYED

Yes | Repair or replace the malfunctioning part according to the applicable DTC troubleshooting. (See DTC TABLE [ELECTRIC PARKING BRAKE CONTROL MODULE] .) |
