Notification And Warning Speaker Removal/Installation: Rear

  1. Switch the ignition ON (engine off or on).
  2. Open the front driver-side door.
  3. Switch the ignition off.
  4. Disconnect the negative battery terminal and wait for 1 min or more. (See NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL DISCONNECTION/CONNECTION [(US)] .)
  5. Remove the following parts:
    1. Liftgate upper trim (See LIFTGATE UPPER TRIM REMOVAL/INSTALLATION .)
    2. Liftgate side trim (See LIFTGATE SIDE TRIM REMOVAL/INSTALLATION .)
    3. Liftgate recess (See LIFTGATE RECESS REMOVAL/INSTALLATION .)
    4. Door lock switch (liftgate) (with door lock switch (liftgate)) (See DOOR LOCK SWITCH REMOVAL/INSTALLATION [(US)] .)
    5. Power liftgate (PLG) rear switch (with power liftgate (PLG) rear switch) (See POWER LIFTGATE (PLG) REAR SWITCH REMOVAL/INSTALLATION .)
    6. Liftgate lower trim (See LIFTGATE LOWER TRIM REMOVAL/INSTALLATION .)
    7. Rear wiper arm and blade (See REAR WIPER ARM AND BLADE REMOVAL/INSTALLATION [(US)] .)
    8. Rear wiper motor (See REAR WIPER MOTOR REMOVAL/INSTALLATION .)
  6. Remove the bolts. (See BOLT INSTALLATION NOTE .)

  7. Remove the notification and warning speaker (rear).
  8. Install in the reverse order of removal.
