Water-Cooled Charge Air Cooler Removal/Installation: Notes

Replacement Part 

Oil and Chemical Type 

1. Disconnect the negative battery terminal. (See NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL DISCONNECTION/CONNECTION [(US)] .)
2. Remove the intake manifold and water-cooled charge air cooler as a single unit. (See INTAKE-AIR SYSTEM REMOVAL/INSTALLATION .)
3. Remove the water-cooled charge air cooler from the intake manifold.

4. Install in the reverse order of removal. (See WATER-COOLED CHARGE AIR COOLER INSTALLATION NOTE .)
