Selector Lever Inspection
WARNING: This page is about a different variant/trim than selected.
- Switch the ignition ON (engine off or on).
- Perform the following procedures to inspect the selector lever.
- If there is any malfunction, adjust the TR switch. (See TRANSMISSION RANGE (TR) SWITCH ADJUSTMENT [SJ6A-EL] .)
- Verify that the selector lever can be operated as shown in the illustration.
- Verify that the selector lever can be operated smoothly and moderately.
- Shift the selector lever and verify that the shift position indication and selector lever position match.
- Start the engine and verify that the vehicle drives forward when in the D position and drives in reverse when in the R position.
