Oil Seal (Oil Pump) Replacement

- Remove the transmission. (See AUTOMATIC TRANSMISSION REMOVAL/INSTALLATION .)
- Remove the torque converter. (See TORQUE CONVERTER REMOVAL/INSTALLATION .)
- Remove the oil seal from the oil pump body using the SSTs.CAUTION:
- Do not to damage the bushing on the oil pump body.
- Using the SST and a hammer, install the new oil seal to the oil pump body.
- 0.2 mm {0.008 in}
- 0.2 mm {0.008 in}
- Coat the lip of the oil seal with grease.
- Install the torque converter. (See TORQUE CONVERTER REMOVAL/INSTALLATION .)
- Install the transmission. (See AUTOMATIC TRANSMISSION REMOVAL/INSTALLATION .)
- Perform the mechanical system test. (See MECHANICAL SYSTEM TEST .)
