Trunk Compartment Light Removal/Installation

  1. Disconnect the negative battery terminal. (See NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL DISCONNECTION/CONNECTION .)
    CAUTION:
    • When inserting the remover tool in the gap between the trunk compartment light and the trunk end trim, the remover tool could interfere with the trunk end trim and scratch or damage it. When removing the trunk compartment light from the trunk end trim, apply protective tape to the trunk end trim.
  2. To prevent scratches or damage, affix protective tape to the position shown in the illustration.

  3. Insert the remover tool into the gap between the trunk compartment light and the trunk end trim.
  4. Move the remover tool in the direction of arrow (1) shown in the illustration and pull out the tab of the trunk compartment light from the trunk end trim.

  5. Move the trunk compartment light in the direction of arrow (2) shown in the illustration and pull out the trunk compartment light from the trunk end trim.
  6. Disconnect the connector.

  7. Remove the trunk compartment light.
  8. Install in the reverse order of removal.
