License Plate Light Bulb Removal/Installation

Disconnect the negative battery terminal. (See NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL DISCONNECTION/CONNECTION .)
Insert the remover tool into the service hole at the position shown in the illustration.

While pressing the license plate light tab in the direction of arrow (1) shown in the illustration using a remover tool, pull the license plate light in the direction of arrow (2) and detach the license plate light tab from the rear bumper.

Pull the license plate light in the direction of arrow (3) shown in the illustration and remove it from the rear bumper.
Turn the socket counterclockwise and remove it in the direction of arrow (1) shown in the illustration.

CAUTION:
- If there is oil or dirt on the surface of the light bulb, excessive heat will build up and the life of the light bulb will be shortened. If the light bulb glass area is touched, wipe off any dirt using a soft cloth dampened with detergent diluted in water (approx. 5 %).
Remove the license plate light bulb.

Install in the reverse order of removal.
