WARNING: This page is about a different variant/trim than selected.
CAUTION:
- Do not apply voltage of 16 V or more to the oil control valve for No. 1 cylinder deactivation because the oil control valve for No. 1 cylinder deactivation will be damaged.
- Remove the OCV for No. 1 cylinder deactivation. (See OIL CONTROL VALVE (OCV) FOR CYLINDER DEACTIVATION REMOVAL/INSTALLATION ).

- Connect the battery to the OCV for No. 1 cylinder deactivation connector (2 terminals) as shown in the figure.
- Verify that there is an operation sound from the OCV for No. 1 cylinder deactivation when applying battery voltage between OCV for No. 1 cylinder deactivation connector terminals A and B.NOTE:
- A click sound is heard when the OCV for No. 1 cylinder deactivation operates normally.
- If the operation sound cannot be heard, replace the OCV for No. 1 cylinder deactivation. (See OIL CONTROL VALVE (OCV) FOR CYLINDER DEACTIVATION REMOVAL/INSTALLATION ).
