Water Inlet Pipe and Flange Installation Note

CAUTION:

Be aware of the following points, otherwise engine coolant leakage could result.
- Do not allow oil (such as engine oil, ATF) to contact O-ring
- Do not damage O-rings

Apply engine coolant to a new O-ring (water pump side).
Install the O-ring to the water inlet pipe.

Insert the water inlet pipe into the water pump so that the marked position is aligned with the projection position.

Temporarily tighten the bolt shown in the figure.

Apply engine coolant to a new O-ring (flange side).
Install the O-ring to the water inlet pipe.

Assemble the flange, gasket and bolts.

Tightening torque

Bolt A: 12-16 N.m {123-163 kgf.cm, 107-141 in.lbf}

Bolt B: 20-26 N.m {2.1-2.6 kgf.m, 15-19 ft.lbf}
