DTC P2090-00: (PCM, VIN M) DETECTION CONDITION AND POSSIBLE CAUSE

DTC P2090-00:	OCV for hydraulic variable valve timing system circuit low input
DETECTION CONDITION	The OCV for hydraulic variable valve timing system control voltage relative to the PCM control is too low. Diagnostic support note This is a continuous monitor (CCM). The check engine light illuminates if the PCM detects the above malfunction condition during the first drive cycle. FREEZE FRAME DATA/Snapshot data is available. DTC is stored in the PCM memory.
FAIL-SAFE FUNCTION	Set the exhaust variable valve timing control to the maximum advanced position.
POSSIBLE CAUSE	OCV for hydraulic variable valve timing system connector or terminals malfunction Short to ground or open circuit in OCV for hydraulic variable valve timing system power supply circuit Short to ground in wiring harness between ENGINE4 15 A fuse and OCV for hydraulic variable valve timing system terminal B ENGINE4 15 A fuse malfunction Open circuit in wiring harness between main relay terminal C and OCV for hydraulic variable valve timing system terminal B PCM connector or terminals malfunction Short to ground in wiring harness between OCV for hydraulic variable valve timing system terminal A and PCM terminal 1CO Open circuit in wiring harness between OCV for hydraulic variable valve timing system terminal A and PCM terminal 1CO OCV for hydraulic variable valve timing system malfunction PCM malfunction
