Steering Shift Switch Removal/Installation

WARNING:
- Handling the driver-side air bag module improperly can accidentally deploy the air bag module, which may seriously injure you. - Disconnect the negative battery terminal and wait for 1 min or more. (See NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL DISCONNECTION/CONNECTION ).

- Remove the steering wheel. (See STEERING WHEEL AND COLUMN REMOVAL/INSTALLATION ).
- Disconnect the steering shift switch wiring harness connector.
- Remove the screw.
- Disconnect the steering shift switch connector.
- Release the tab shown in the figure and remove the steering shift switch.
- Using a precision flathead screwdriver, release the tab.
- Lift the steering wheel cover up using your hand and remove the steering shift switch wiring harness from the clearance.
- Install in the reverse order of removal.
