DTC P2610-00: (PCM, VIN M) DETECTION CONDITION AND POSSIBLE CAUSE

| DETECTION CONDITION |
- Any one of the following conditions is met:
- When the engine is stopped, the amount of time the engine has been stopped does not match between the 2 processors in the instrument cluster for a continuous 5 s or more.
- The instrument cluster cannot receive the engine speed signal from the PCM for a continuous 10 s or more.
- The instrument cluster cannot count the amount of time the engine has been stopped for a continuous 5 s or more.
Diagnostic support note
- This is a continuous monitor (CCM).
- The check engine light illuminates if the PCM detects the above malfunction condition in two consecutive drive cycles or in one drive cycle while the DTC for the same malfunction has been stored in the PCM. (The check engine light may be illuminated depending on the malfunction conditions).
- PENDING CODE is available if the PCM detects the above malfunction condition during first drive cycle.
- FREEZE FRAME DATA/Snapshot data is available.
- DTC is stored in the PCM memory.

- The fast idle up correction for the drive-by-wire control is inhibited.

- Instrument cluster power supply circuit malfunction (in this case, the instrument cluster records DTC U3003:16).
- Instrument cluster malfunction
- PCM malfunction
