NO. 23 SULFURIC SMELL OCCURS (SKYACTIV-G 2.5, VIN M) DIAGNOSTIC PROCEDURE

Step	Inspection	Results	Action
1	VERIFY PCM DTC Perform the DTC inspection for the PCM. (See ON-BOARD DIAGNOSTIC TEST [PCM (SKYACTIV-G 2.5 (VIN M))] ). Are any DTCs displayed?	Yes	Repair the malfunctioning location according to the applicable DTC troubleshooting. (See DTC TABLE [PCM (SKYACTIV-G 2.5 (VIN M))] ).
1		No	Go to the next step.
2	VERIFY FUEL USED Verify with the customer if the fuel brand used was changed before the occurrence of sulfuric smell. Was the fuel brand used changed?	Yes	The vehicle is normal. Explain the following to the customer. Sulfuric smell occurred due to high sulfur content in the fuel Occurrence of sulfuric smell does not affect the driving performance or durability of the vehicle Complete the symptom troubleshooting.
2		No	The vehicle is normal. Explain the following to the customer. The vehicle is normal The mechanism of sulfuric smell occurrence Occurrence of sulfuric smell does not affect the driving performance or durability of the vehicle Complete the symptom troubleshooting.
