EGR Valve Inspection

Resistance inspection 

1. Disconnect the negative battery terminal. (See NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL DISCONNECTION/CONNECTION ).
2. Disconnect the EGR valve connector. (See EGR VALVE REMOVAL/INSTALLATION ).

3. Measure the resistance at the following terminals:

• EGR valve terminal A-EGR valve terminal C.
• EGR valve terminal E-EGR valve terminal C.
• EGR valve terminal B-EGR valve terminal D.
• EGR valve terminal F-EGR valve terminal D.

EGR valve resistance (specification) 

8.0-9.0 ohms [20 °C {68 °F}]

• If not within the specification, replace the EGR valve. (See EGR VALVE REMOVAL/INSTALLATION ).
