Air Bypass Valve Inspection

Resistance Inspection

Disconnect the negative battery terminal. (See NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL DISCONNECTION/CONNECTION ).
Disconnect the air bypass valve connector. (See DYNAMIC PRESSURE TURBO REMOVAL/INSTALLATION ).
Inspect the resistance between air bypass valve terminals A and B.

Air bypass valve resistance

12.7-13.7 ohms [23°C {73 °F}]

If not within the specification, replace the dynamic pressure turbo. (See DYNAMIC PRESSURE TURBO REMOVAL/INSTALLATION ).
