Column Cover Removal/Installation

Upper Column Cover 

1. Lower the steering wheel to the bottommost position.
2. Press the shaded areas shown in the figure, lift the upper column cover in the direction of the arrows, and detach the pins, tabs, and guides from the lower column cover.

3. While pressing the tabs of meter hood No. 1 in the direction of arrow (1) shown in the figure, press them up in the direction of arrow (2) and detach the tabs from the upper column cover.

4. Detach all the tabs of meter hood No. 1 from the upper column cover.
5. Remove the upper column cover.
6. Install in the reverse order of removal.

Lower Column Cover 

1. Remove the upper column cover. (See Upper Column Cover above)
2. Remove the screws.

3. Lower the lower column cover in the direction of arrows (2) shown in the figure while keeping it open in the direction of arrows (1).

4. Lower the adjusting lever to the bottommost position.

5. Move the lower column cover in the direction of the arrow shown in the figure and remove it while pulling out the guide.

6. Install in the reverse order of removal.
